Work Pack: Youth club activities - Summer fun

5 mins read Youth Work
Summer is the time to get outside and get young people involved in teambuilding and group activities. Vanessa Rogers suggests some ideas that require minimal equipment.

COMMON GROUND

Aim: Teams compete to create a list of things that all the team members have in common.

You will need:

- Paper and pencil

How to do it

Divide the group into equal teams of up to six and give each team a sheet of paper and a pencil. Tell teams their challenge is to list everything they can think of that all team members have in common. For example, team members might all attend the same school, like the same kind of music, or enjoy the same sport. The only rule is that they can't list similar body parts, such as "we all have a brain and a nose".
