My work started as part of the Diocese of London's Soul in the City initiative, which aimed to engage with young people and their communities. On the back of that I came here to set up a church for the people on the estate, which is the largest in Hounslow.
One of the first things we did was to try and find out what the people who lived here wanted and what came out as number one was a youth club. So I started a club on Friday nights.
The faith part of what we do is that we are meeting a need and trying to give something back to the community. There is no overtly religious part to the club and no five-minute talk.
