VOICES IN PROJECTS

Aim: To create a forum for young people to have a voice and be involved in shaping services and society at large

Funding: £101,000 from the Young People's Fund over two years

Quarriers' Voices in Projects (VIP) group is helping young people who have experienced homelessness and housing problems get their views heard.

The group came out of a 2005 event organised by the Scottish charity for young people supported by its youth homelessness services. It is a monthly forum that allows young people in youth housing support projects to share their views on the services they receive. More than 30 young people aged 14 to 25 have been actively involved.
