What is it? The diploma was launched in September 2008 as part of the government's 14 to 19 education reforms. It is available in 39 consortiums of schools, colleges and employers. Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust is the first hospital in England to establish a permanent training base for the diploma.
