Breakfast clubs vie for awards

Thousands of pounds are on offer to school breakfast clubs from an awards scheme launched by education charity ContinYou and Kellogg's.
The Breakfast Clubs Plus Awards will recognise the best UK breakfast clubs. There are five categories: achieving sustainability; added-value activities; community involvement; improving emotional health and wellbeing; and nutrition. Each winning club will get £1,500. Runners up will get £650.
Tony Apicella, business development director at ContinYou, said: "Breakfast clubs offer schools opportunities to engage with young people."
Application forms are due by 30 November.
