NCB Now: The future of social services in Wales

Children in Wales’s annual Round Table Conference will focus on the Welsh government’s plans for the future of social services in Wales and the effects that these will have on children, young people and their families.

The Welsh government published its plans for social services in February 2011, and is now consulting on its Social Services (Wales) Bill. Delegates at the conference will hear from Gwenda Thomas AM, deputy minister for children and social services, followed by a set of responses from key professionals from social services, health, education and the third sector.

  • The conference will take place on 26 March 2012 at Cardiff City Hall. More information is available from www.childreninwales.org.uk
