NCB Now: Seminar tackles neglect

Neglect is the most commonly reported child protection concern in the UK, yet the issue receives comparatively little attention.

To explore this issue, Children in Scotland in association with Action for Children, is presenting a seminar: Thriving for Life: Combating Neglect Through Childhood And Beyond, on 8 May in Glasgow.

The day will focus on examining the prevalence, causes and consequences of child neglect, and look at how good our collective response to child neglect is and whether young people get the help they need.

Sir Harry Burns, chief medical officer for Scotland, will be speaking at the event, and delegates will receive a complementary copy of Action for Children’s Neglect Review.
