Participation Works has launched the latest in its series of "how to" guides, which have been developed for those working in schools and other educational settings. They provide practical advice and support around children and young people's participation in decision making.
The titles address key topics for schools including:
- How to engage with diverse groups in schools and other educational settings
- How to involve children and young people in school governance
- How to support inclusive groups in educational settings
The latest three guides explore how children and young people can make a real and lasting contribution within schools. They use current case studies of good practice in the effective engagement of children and young people in schools and provide practical examples for teachers and other staff.
The guides can be downloaded from www.participationworks.org.uk/resources for £1.
Participation Works also has an education area for resources related to young people's participation in educational settings: www.participationworks.org.uk/topics/education.
