The Looked After Children Health Exchange, co-ordinated by Children in Wales, has released a practice guide on supporting and promoting the health needs of looked-after children in Wales.
It is aimed at service providers and practitioners who work with looked-after children, and others with an interest in this area. It outlines the policy context and key issues for looked-after children, as well as views of looked-after children on this issue.
It looks at who the key professionals are, holistic health assessments and health care plans, health promotion and looked-after children with particular needs.
