Legislation introduced by the National Assembly for Wales places a requirement on all local authorities and key partners to produce a local participation strategy.
The aim of these strategies is to ensure that children and young people have opportunities to have their voice heard and to be involved in decisions that affect their lives at local levels.
The Welsh government is currently consulting on draft guidance to support the development of the strategies. Children in Wales is coordinating a response to the consultation on behalf of our members and have put together an online survey to inform this response.
