The Young Carers' Network has funded three residentials with young carers in Cardiff, Powys and Denbighshire. Each of the workshops took place over a twoor three-day period and included fun and interactive sessions on their experiences of being a young carer, and identifying the additional support and services that they need.
Children in Wales is now collating the results and developing recommendations for the Welsh Assembly Government.
We are also looking at how to publicise the topic of young carers and in doing so ensure that issues identified by the young people involved in the residentials are acted on.
