Organised by The National Youth Agency (NYA), the week's theme is Your Roots, Your Community.
Earlier this year, The National Trust set up a heritage awareness project called The Untold Story, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. As part of Youth Work Week, local community groups will visit trust properties and interpret the history and stories through drama, music and dance.
Stefan Wathan, community and young people manager at The National Trust, said the week was an "ideal opportunity" to raise awareness about the organisation's work. "It often goes unnoticed by the public and youth organisations that the trust is a provider of personal development opportunities for young people," he said.
