
The youth workforce has undergone some drastic changes over the past two years with many services across England becoming virtually unrecognisable.
To keep up with the rapidly changing landscape, the Association of Principle Youth and Community Officers (Apyco) today (25 June) relaunches as the Confederation of Heads of Young People's Services (Chyps).
The drive towards integrated youth support services has forced the organisation to take into account the broader range of services that now make up the youth workforce.
Confederation chief executive Susie Roberts says: "One of the main reasons for the rebranding was to recognise what was happening in local authority youth services, with people working across different services as opposed to just in youth work.
