The directors will take charge of different functions within the organisation, including marketing and communications, development of Connexions, inclusion, business development strategy and planning.
Jim Reid, chief executive of Sheffield Futures, said: "We have reorganised the whole structure of the organisation so that workers will be more closely linked with their communities.
"The assistant directors will be able to reduce the amount of time staff spend on management tasks and reduce the amount of scattered bureaucracy that existed."
