Youth services: APYCO delegates to set agenda

The programme for the Association of Principal Youth and Community Officers (APYCO) conference, which takes place on 12-13 March, has not been set, because the association wants delegates to have more of a say in proceedings by using "open space technology".

Conference-goers will be able to raise issues that concern them, and discussions will be held on those that attract most attention. Keynote speakers will be asked to address issues raised.

The association has decided to try the approach because the fast-moving nature of youth policy is making it increasingly difficult to plan conferences six months in advance.
