The Mayor of London is hosting Activ8, the largest play-day event in the UK. The Hyde Park-based event has a dedicated Teenzone with activities ranging from DJing workshops to skateboarding.
Dumfries and Galloway Council is also holding an event for nine- to 16-year-olds.
National Playday is organised by The Children's Society and the Children's Play Council.
