Youth justice: YJB risks missing key targets

In its Annual Report for 2005-06 the YJB says targets to reduce the number of first-time entrants to the youth justice system, cut reoffending, and reduce the size of the juvenile custodial population are all at risk.

It is on course to meet targets on improving risk assessment, making sure youth offending teams have race action plans operating, and to make sure all young women and more young men are held separately from adults.
