The Salford pilot will echo the aims of the Community Justice Centre in Liverpool but involve the community in the existing magistrates' court rather than setting up a separate centre (YPN, 7-13 July 2004, p2).

He added that the scheme should be up and running this autumn.
Salford City Council has a reputation for issuing high numbers of antisocial behaviour orders and one idea behind the scheme is to increase co-operation between groups within the council that work in this area.
