Youth Justice News: Youth custody - Mubarek family to set up prisontrust

Mubarek was beaten to death by his racist cellmate in Feltham Young Offender Institution in March 2000, aged 19. The public inquiry into his death reported at the end of last month.

Mubarek's uncle, Imtiaz Amin, who led the campaign for a public inquiry, told Young People Now: "We are founding a trust to help monitor the recommendations of the inquiry."

A parliamentary subcommittee will be set up to push for further recommendations to be carried through.
