Mission: To educate young people about safe scooter riding

Funding: 900 per course for up to 12 young people from Positive Futures, Westminster Crime and Disorder Reduction Team and Positive Activities for Young People

It could be assumed that a 14-year-old riding on a scooter with the front wheel off the ground is well aware of the antisocial nature of their behaviour, but according to Eugene Minogue this is not necessarily the case.

Minogue is community sports officer for the City of Westminster, and runs the council's Reducing Reckless Moped Riding scheme. This is part of the authority's Positive Futures programme, and aims to educate young people about how to use mopeds and scooters safely, and the consequences of not doing so.
