Mission: To broaden the horizons of young people in youth inclusion programmes and raise their self-esteem
Funding: About 1,500, mostly from Farnworth Youth Inclusion Programme's Positive Activities for Young People budget
Young people from four youth inclusion programmes (YIPs) bonded through music, graffiti and other urban arts at an event in Oldham earlier this month.
About 50 young people from YIPs in Bolton, Greenacres, Fitton Hill and Tameside took part in activities including music production, graffiti art, henna painting and other arts and crafts. They were encouraged to use the arts to share their perceptions of antisocial behaviour with their peers from other areas.
