Youth Justice News: Housing - YJB stakes claim for young offenders

The Department for Communities and Local Government is creating the housing body, Communities England, by merging the Housing Corporation and English Partnerships.

The organisation is expected to have about 4bn to invest in housing and regeneration, and the YJB is keen to make sure some of this helps young people who are involved in crime.

Chris Holmes, a board member of the YJB, said: "Stable and supported accommodation plays a very important role in helping vulnerable young offenders get their lives back on track."
