But the fact that she's not enjoying herself isn't necessarily a problem. In fact it could be seen as a success, since the project she is involved in is about showing young people what it is like to end up on the wrong side of the law.
Toni is taking part in the Youth Justice Project, a crime-diversionary programme run by a group of Oldham organisations, including Groundwork Oldham and Rochdale, the police, Connexions, the Probation Service and the antisocial behaviour and community safety teams. The scheme, which is funded by Oldham Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership, is usually run for young men but has now been expanded to include young women.
