YOUTH CLUBS: London federation to hold Club Week

1 min read

The initiative, which takes place during half-term week from 24 to 31 October, is designed to bring youth clubs together from across London to participate in a wide range of events and activities.

Simon Shneerson, appeal director at London Youth, said: "Through Club Week, we want the public to realise there are a lot of youth clubs in London doing valuable work. And we want the clubs to feel that they're appreciated."

As well as raising funds, London Youth hopes Club Week will make a bigger impact than ad hoc efforts from individual clubs and groups carried out in isolation.

At a party at London Youth's headquarters to launch the event last week, clubs were encouraged to start planning events and activities such as discos, parties and supermarket fundraising collections. A major overall publicity stunt is also planned for sometime during the week.
