The association is in the process of training around 300 young people by November this year to become "media representatives" to help promote Scouting during its centenary celebrations next year.
The conference, aimed at young people and adult leaders, focused on fears that next year's centenary celebrations could fuel a rise in demand for Scout groups, as there are not enough adult volunteers at present.
