What does it feel like to be nine years old but look six? For most adults, such a question would go way over their heads. But for Anna Carlini and Emma Barry, both 10, it was an important issue and they wanted to find out what their friends thought as well as giving adults some insight into their world.
As a result, they recently published their findings of Hey, I'm nine not six: a small-scale investigation of looking younger than your age at school on the Open University Children's Research Centre's web site.
It reveals that these children are often treated "like dolls" because of their small size and they can be bullied by children younger than themselves.
