CYP Now - Young people's development

If I was in charge of young people's development I would make sure they could volunteer overseas so they can get a totally different perspective on life. I would make sure that all schools and youth clubs have access to information about volunteering overseas and what it's all about.

If I was in charge, I would personally go to different schools and talk about the experience that I will have in Fiji this August. I would also make sure that young people who really want to volunteer but have financial difficulties will have a chance to do so. I received a bursary to help pay for my volunteer placement.

I believe that doing something good for other people is a rewarding feeling and gives you great joy. I would want to let young people know that nothing in this world is impossible and to make this world a better place is to look out for each other.
