A group of young people from Moss Side in Manchester have redecorated a series of garage doors with art work based on the memories of older residents. The Back to the Future series of paintings were based on conversations the young people, aged five to 15, had with 10 local residents about their childhood. The paintings include images of New York, where one resident lived for a while, and Salford Docks. City South Manchester Housing Trust organised the High Five project to help the 27 young people taking part feel involved in their community. "We are keen to be at the heart of the communities in which we work and this is a great way for all partners to get involved in bringing the whole estate together," said Niall Power, the trust's head of regeneration.
