YOUNG OFFENDERS: Wigan YOT gets more funds for pilot

It received 100,000 from the Children's Fund for three years, and a share of Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council's 1m-plus Investing in Children fund. From April this year, a quarter of all Children's Fund money has had to be spent with YOTs.

Workers to be recruited include two youth offending and support panel officers and an operational manager.
