Young help old with Xmas shop

Youth Work
Teenagers from Aylesbury helped elderly residents with their shopping over Christmas.

More than 40 young volunteers from Aylesbury Youth Action assisted the older shoppers to choose presents for family and friends at the annual Christmas shopping event held in Aylesbury town centre.

The event was organised as part of the Generate project, which aims to break down barriers between young and old.

Councillor David Thompson, cabinet member for leisure at the district council, said: "The volunteers did a brilliant job helping the older shoppers who really enjoyed themselves."
