The council is allocating 1,500 to 3,500 to individuals researching projects set up to investigate life for a practitioner working with children and young people.
The organisation is also offering grants of 2,000 to 4,000 to organisations to lead research projects investigating young people's experiences of services.
Findings can be presented in writing, or videos, photos or artwork. The council will use the research to inform policymakers.
Individuals and organisations have until 8 September to apply for grants for the projects, which need to be completed and submitted by 19 January 2007.
