How much is on offer? Annually, the small grants programme distributes £750,000. The maximum any organisation can request is £3,000.
What will it fund? It will fund seven types of organisation. These are community groups, language and literacy projects, playgroups and toy libraries, refuge and homeless projects, social and leisure groups, special needs and health projects and youth clubs or projects. These groups facilitate sports, music, drama and cultural activities among others. But it will not fund hospital equipment, treatments or medical research.
