The government has rejected calls for the creation of specialist prisons for female inmates who are mothers or pregnant in its response to a children's commissioner report. The government said the units were not "feasible or desirable".
Key Stage 2 maths, science and literacy teaching in England is far narrower than in places with some of the world's best primary school results, such as Hong Kong and Latvia.
