Children at Petersfield Infant School get to work on their eco-friendly waste line as part of a project on how to respect the environment. The school is taking part in a waste-free lunch challenge, where they weigh lunchbox waste to reduce unnecessary packaging. It has been given four food digesters by Drum Housing Association and East Hampshire District Council, which help organic waste to decompose. Allyson Crew, head of Year Two, said: "The children have enjoyed learning about the impact their actions have on other people and the planet."
