The Assembly Youth Policy Team's plans will form the basis for the second phase of the Extending Entitlement initiative, which underpins youth policy in Wales.
Officials have yet to devise details about what the second phase of the scheme will entail, but adopting a Connexions-type approach to Welsh information services is one option being considered, according to a spokeswoman for the Youth Policy Team. The project is likely to emphasise the provision of personal advice.

Work on building the service, which will target 11- to 25-year-olds, is expected to begin in October this year. The contract will run until March 2008.
