Education minister Jane Davidson launched the programme of action foreducation in Wales, which covers from now up to 2010, last week.
It says the assembly government will implement the UN Convention on theRights of the Child. It will also increase the opportunities forchildren and young people to participate in decisions that impact ontheir lives.
And it will ensure the recommendations of the Clywch report intoallegations of sexual abuse are acted upon.
Davidson said: "2006 marks the half-way point in our journey. Time,therefore, to take stock of what we've achieved."
