The 12-week programme, through the local Prince's Trust Team project, gives 16- to 25-year-olds the chance to find out about the industry by teaming up with contractor RG Carter.
Based in Thetford, the programme works with 15 young people who are part of the trust's core target group of young offenders, unemployed, care-leavers and underachievers.
The young people have had a residential spell at RG Carter's construction industry training board, and an operations manager was seconded from his post at the company to work with the young people. West Suffolk College is providing participants with courses in brickwork and carpentry.
Daniel Williams, general manager at The Prince's Trust in Norfolk, said: "We've taken a standard Prince's Trust scheme and given it a twist."
