Video diaries will promote nutrition

Early Years
Film-making is to be used as a major part in a new course helping young parents in Brighton understand the importance of healthy eating.

The course, run by Lottery-funded organisation the Young Parents Project, will help parents look at the effect of bad nutrition on their children.

Parents will film video diaries, cooking demonstrations, and question and answer sessions. At the end of the course all the footage will be made into one film.

Project manager Nina Ross said: "Nutrition is the first thing to suffer due to time and money, which has an impact on the lives of parents and their children."

The project is being supported by Brighton and Hove City Teaching Primary Care Trust and will start on 25 April.
