Uniformed youth work: Digital channel to air Scout TV series

The Scout Association has teamed up with the broadcaster Community Channel to launch its own TV series.

The first 20-minute episode of Scout TV - Everyday Adventure aired last month on the digital channel. The programmes will be based around key issues facing the voluntary sector, including recruitment, diversity and practical skills. One episode will be aired a month over the next six months and all will be presented by young people.

Young presenter Becky Alexander, an Explorer Scout from London, said: "This is a great opportunity to show people what Scouting is all about and show adults the adventures that are available to them."
