Transport: Bradford survey highlights woes

Youth Work
Young politicians in Bradford have carried out a survey to help identify the barriers young people face when using public transport in the area.

Members of the Bradford and Keighley Youth Parliament conducted the survey after young people in their area highlighted transport as one of their priorities. About 500 young people responded to the survey, which was posted on the youth parliament's website.

The study found that 71 per cent wanted cheaper public transport and 60 per cent called for the introduction of a discount card scheme.

Sixty-eight per cent said more reliable buses would encourage them to use public transport.
