There's a strange synchronicity at present in the lives of Tom Wylie and Tony Blair. Both men are about to relinquish their respective premierships after just over a decade at the top. And both are determined to ensure that their legacies live on.

Wylie has championed the advancement of youth work as chief executive of The National Youth Agency since 1996. And at the Youth Summit in London next week, the Ulsterman will set out his view of what still needs to be done for youth work as a profession to better serve the interests of young people. "As Labour would say: 'much done, much still to do,'" he quips. Coming just two days before Blair hands power to Gordon Brown, the summit is an opportune time for Wylie's last hurrah - to set the agenda for the new Prime Minister.
