The National Youth Agency: Youthinformation.com looks at ... a newweb site from railtrack

1 min read
Up to 60 people are killed every year on the railway just by crossing the tracks - taking short cuts, messing around or playing chicken. Don't be one of them! This is the hard-hitting message from Railtrack.

Its new web site, called www.no-messin.com, reminds us that up to 25,000 volts of electricity run through the lines that power trains and it's never switched off. You don't even have to touch it to get killed. Their web site aims to get the safety message across to young people who might be tempted to venture on to railway lines.

Track Off is a similar campaign that aims to educate people, particularly young people, about the dangers and consequences of railway crime. To find out more, visit its web site at www.trackoff.org.
