This is an annual recruitment campaign managed by the Fostering Network. There is a shortage of almost 10,000 foster carers across the UK. The theme for this year's campaign is "think about fostering". Foster Care Fortnight has worked over the past three decades to help raise awareness of fostering, and has most importantly encouraged people to consider becoming foster carers.
The event is also supported by children's author Jacqueline Wilson. More information about the campaign can be found on the Fostering Network web site at www.fostering.net.
