The National Youth Agency: Youth Access wins welcome funding boostfrom NYVO grant scheme

1 min read

The Department of Health (DoH) has also awarded Youth Access funding of 120,000 to be spread over the next two years.

The main grant will fund a national programme designed to resource local young people's information, advice, counselling and support services (YIACS) and will help individual practitioners work more effectively to meet these needs. The programme includes supporting agencies to meet new membership criteria based on Youth Access quality standards, together with new programmes of training and resources to support YIACS' contribution to five key outcomes for young people. The intention is to build the capacity and evidence base for YIACS by creating an impact across three related themes: policy, practice and partnership, and bringing different types of advice service closer together.
