Youth Access, the national organisation for young people's information, advice, counselling and support services, is seeking applicants for its training pool.

Trainers will be expected to deliver training programmes beginning with its "Resourcing Yourself" training programme, which runs from September 2004 to March 2005.

The training programme will cover areas including young people and mental health, working creatively with young people, working with young people affected by traumatic events and counselling assessment.

Prospective trainers will need a nationally recognised qualification in counselling with at least three years' experience as a practitioner, at least three years' experience of delivering counselling and interpersonal skills training, or facilitative group work and three years' experience of working with young people individually or in groups. They should also have the ability to deliver a wide range of skills, theory and issue-based training. They must also have the flexibility to deliver training in different parts of the country during both weekdays and weekends.
