The National Youth Agency: Young trainer opportunities at The NYA

1 min read
The National Youth Agency is looking for four young trainers aged 16 to 19 to join its participation team.

The successful applicants will plan, deliver, evaluate and share learning from training events and consultancy on children's and young people's participation at local, regional and national level, including with national government departments.

NYA participation team manager Bill Badham said: "We are looking for young people with knowledge of current youth policy and practice and experience of children and young people's rights under the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. Trainers will need to be able to demonstrate experience of participation and speaking out to achieve change including influencing change in a school, youth facility or local authority."

Those aged under 18 must have the consent of their parent or guardian to be considered for one of the four posts. Deadline for receipt of applications is Thursday 26 March. More details on the application process are available on The NYA website at www.nya.org.uk/jobs or through emailing humanresources@nya.org.uk.
