Young Roots - Get to grips with nature Lead Agency: Dipton Community Partnership Partners: Groundwork West Durham, Durham Wildlife Trust

THE PROJECT

Young people from a small village outside Durham are getting involved in and appreciating the local natural heritage through wildlife surveys and conservation work in an area of parkland and heath. A nature and sculpture trail is being developed, along with education facilities. The long-term aim is to create ownership of the site among young people to safeguard its future as a nature reserve.
