Project

The project will research the automotive industry in Coventry from the 1950s to the 1980s. Frontline is working with up to 40 young people in four groups to research archives, visit sites, interview older members of the community and eventually produce a DVD film and exhibition about the peak era of the industry in the city and draw out the wider social effects and influences, including social clubs, trade unions and housing initiatives.

For more information, contact Simon Munn, Young Roots co-ordinator for the West Midlands, on 0121 616 6883 or email: simonm@hlf.org.uk.
