The National Youth Agency: YALP praises benefits of communitylearning projects for young people

It identifies and discusses some of the key issues central to the provision of learning for this target group, and the critical factors that contributed to the success of some of the most effective ACLF projects. The report is aimed at practitioners and policymakers involved in the provision of community-based informal learning.

The Adult and Community Learning Fund was a 30m fund set up by the Department for Education and Skills to support community-based organisations in developing new learning opportunities for adults. The fund supported activities that took learning into sectors of the community not reached by traditional educational organisations, widening participation and providing new opportunities.
