The National Youth Agency: Winning with youth arts

The National Youth Agency has been working with the Arts Council of England on a project to support the development of the arts in England over the next 10 years.

During April, the NYA collected the views of young people on what they think of arts provision in their area. An online questionnaire and vox pop events took place in shopping centres around the country and the agency arranged consultation events in Bristol, Liverpool and Norwich.

These allowed the young people involved to talk to one another and share their views on art provision. To incentivise people to take part a competition was held with the winners receiving an iPod Touch. Here YouthBank's Katy Neilson draws out the names of the lucky winners

John Thore from Hexham and Sarah Gamble from Norwich.
